Lusaka, Zambia, June 15, 2023 – The Ministry of Green Economy and Environment (MGEE) and the Regional Network of Agricultural Policy Research Institutes (ReNAPRI) through ReNAPRI member, the Indaba Agricultural Policy Research Institute (IAPRI), are implementing the Comprehensive Action for Climate Change Initiative (CACCI) in Zambia to advance climate change action. CACCI aims to support Zambia in the implementation, progress tracking, and reporting of its Nationally Determined Contributions (NDC) and National Adaptation Plan (NAP) in alignment with the Paris Agreement on Climate Change.
In line with this objective, CACCI and its team, in collaboration with key stakeholders, will be conducting a comprehensive review of the Integrated Results Framework (IRF) for the NDC and NAP. This review process is scheduled to take place on Thursday, June 15, 2023. The event will be held at the prestigious Pamodzi Hotel, where Mr. Stephen Kabwe, IAPRI Outreach Coordinator, will serve as the Director of Events. Dr. Brian Mulenga of IAPRI will deliver a presentation on the integrated result framework of NDC and NAP, as well as share valuable insights on data development.
The review process signifies an important step towards strengthening climate change action and promoting sustainable development in Zambia. It provides an opportunity for stakeholders to contribute their expertise and insights, ensuring the effective implementation of climate change policies and strategies.
